Recurly Integration

Automating your privacy request fulfillment by integrating Mine PrivacyOps to Recurly

This integration allows you to automate deletion requests for Recurly data.

What this integration does?

    • Deactivates an account and permanently deletes its billing information and cancels any active subscriptions (canceled subscriptions will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle before expiring).
  • Copy requests are automated by Sending a copy of the user data held.

    Before you start

    • Make sure your Mine PrivacyOps plan supports automatic integrations.
    • Ensure you have a Recurly account with Manager/Admin permissions to create an API key.

    Setting up

To connect the Recurly integration, please follow the steps below:

    1. On the left sidebar, click “Data Sources” and search for Recurly in the integration list and pick one of both options, depending on the identifier type that is used for your Recurly app.

The Identifier Type is whatever you use as your 'Account Code' in your Recurly app:

If you are using the user's email as the identifier, configure "Recurly (Email)", otherwise, use "Recurly (InternalId)"

    2. Next, enter Recurly API key.
      1. If you don’t have a Recurly API key, follow these steps to create one:
      2. On your Recurly account, Click on Integrations -> API Credentials:

      3. If you have an existing API key and sufficient permissions, it's possible to copy the key from this screen. Otherwise, generate a new key:
      4. Click on "Add Private API Key"
      5. Define an API key name and optional notes.

Make sure to leave 'Read-Only" unchecked

      6. Hit Save Changes.

      7. Copy the newly generated key.
      8. Back in the Mine PrivacyOps, paste the API key.
    3. In the optional Data Center field, enter "EU" if your Recurly account is located in the EU data center. (This can be viewed in the Integrations->API Credentials" area of the Recurly app.

      Otherwise, leave blank.
    4. After pasting your API key, click “Test your integration” so Mine PrivacyOps can verify the key.
    5. Click "Enable integration" and “Save”.
    • You're done! Mine PrivacyOps has been connected to your Recurly account.

      Special note:

      • Recurly can be configured to use one of 2 identifiers - "Email' / "Internal Id".
      • For Email identifier, no further setup is required.
      • For InternalId, you'll be required to  manually enter the internal Id of the user.
