Segment Integration

Automating your privacy request fulfillment by integrating Mine PrivacyOps to Segment

This integration allows you to automate privacy requests for Segment.

What this integration does?

    • Deletion requests are automated by deleting and suppressing user information held about a data subject.
  • Copy requests are automated by Sending a copy of the user data held.

    Before you start

    • Make sure your Mine PrivacyOps plan supports automatic integrations.
    • Make sure you have a Personas space.

    Note: Only companies with the Personas platform can set up the integration.

     

    Note: Due to a limitation in Segment, if a user has more then 25 identities associated with his email, the integration can fail to lookup the user.

    Setting up

    To connect the Segment integration, please follow the steps below:

    • Segment Access Token
      1. In the left menu bar click on Settings and then on Workspace Settings


      2. On the Workspace Settings page, click on Access Management
      3. Select Tokens, and then Create Token

      4. Select the Public API and click Next
      5. Enter the Description, select Workspace Owner, and click Create
      6. Copy the token using the icon on the right, and paste it under Workspace owner Access Token for Regulations in Mine's portal

    • Personas Space Id
      1. Select Personas in the left menu bar, and then select Settings
      2. Click on API Access
      3. Copy the Space ID to the Space Id input in Mine's portal
    • Personas Access Token
      1. On the same page, click on Generate, provide the description, and click Generate token
      2. Copy the access token to the Personas Api Access Token input in Mine's porta


    • You're done! Mine PrivacyOps has been connected to your Segment account. You can now easily anonymize your customers' data from Segment.
